Kurios in The Hague, we are looking for a dedicated and energetic Line Cook to join the backstage kitchen team from
October 24th to January 5th. You will be working in an international environment, so a good command of the English language is required. Read on!
Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Line Cook for Cirque du Soleil in The Hague.
As a Line Cook at Cirque du Soleil, you are an essential part of the culinary team. You are responsible for preparing both hot and cold meals for the artists and crew, with attention to detail and quality. Furthermore, you are also responsible for:
- Preparing meals for Cirque staff, such as cutting vegetables, deboning meat, and making sauces
- Cooking menu items in collaboration with the kitchen team
- Keeping your workstation clean and organized, including handling leftovers
- Replenishing stock correctly and on time
- Following dietary guidelines, hygiene rules, and safety regulations
- Guiding and supporting kitchen assistants in their tasks

Functie-eisen
- Available to work evening shifts, sometimes until midnight
- At least two years of full-time experience in a busy restaurant or catering company as a chef de partie, demi-chef, or commis chef
- Experience in the grill and sauté section is required; experience in the cold kitchen is a plus
- Willing to assist with receiving deliveries, organizing, and cleaning the kitchen (including ovens, hoods, etc.)
- In possession of own knives and aprons
- Diploma from a recognized culinary school is mandatory
- Good command of English and the local language for communication with the international tour team
- Able to provide valid health and food safety certificates as required by the local market
- Fully available for the entire duration of Cirque’s stay (October 24 – January 5)
