Dalata Hotel Group is de meest succesvolle en grootste hotel groep in Ierland, en groeiend in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en continentaal Europa. Wij exploiteren de merken Clayton Hotel & Maldron Hotel samen met een aantal partnerhotels. Onze portefeuille bestaat uit 53 hotels, voornamelijk viersterrenhotels, gelegen op locaties in het stads centrum.

We zijn dan ook verheugd om die uitbreiding en groei naar Europa voort te zetten met de recente aankoop van Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American. Het unieke hotel is gelegen in de levendige hoofdstad van Nederland, is een 4-sterrenhotel met 173 kamers en een uitgebreid aanbod aan eten en drinken, waaronder het bekende Café Americain en Bar Americain.
Dit hotel biedt een geweldige kans voor iedereen die de volgende stap in zijn carrière wil zetten en deel wil uitmaken van de verdere expansie van Dalata naar continentaal Europa.

We're looking for a Senior Chef de Parti Breakfast who brings passion, precision, and creativity to every plate, leading others with skill and flair. From cold and hot buffet items to à la carte disher, you'll help shape the culinary identity of our breakfast at one of the city's most storied restaurants.
Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, part of the Dalata Hotel Group, is a 4-star, 173-room hotel nestled in one of the most beautiful art nouveau buildings in the Netherlands. Home to the legendary Café Americain and stylish Bar Americain, we serve guests from around the world with a culinary experience that's as memorable as the setting.
Objective of the Role
As Senior Chef de Parti Breakfast, you'll take the lead in ensuring the hotel's breakfast offering is consistently fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. You'll oversee the cold and hot breakfast buffet, prepare à la minute egg dishes, and take pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly for the most important meal of the day. You'll play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team across our food and beverage outlets, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and creativity.
You're an early bird, a team player, and someone who enjoys the buzz of a busy morning service. With your attention to detail and knowledge of quality ingredients, you'll help us set the tone for our guests' entire day while mentoring junior chefs and maintaining smooth, efficient service – in return, you'll get a set morning schedule to enhance your work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Breakfast
- Take full ownership of the breakfast, leading breakfast operations with precision, care, and confidence
- Prepare hot and cold dishes for the breakfast buffet according to established recipes and standards
- Prepare and plate à la carte breakfast dishes to the highest standards, following recipes, plating guides, and chef's specifications
- Conduct regular quality checks on flavour, texture, temperature, and presentation to ensure consistency
Manage Prep & Supplies
- Oversee mise en place, daily prep, and food storage, ensuring strict adherence to FIFO, HACCP, and safety procedures
- Identify and flag shortages promptly to keep kitchen operations running smoothly and efficiently
Coach & Collaborate
- Supervise, mentor, and support (junior) chefs, delegating tasks effectively to maintain smooth service
- Work closely with the Sous Chef(s) and Head Chef to meet operational goals and enhance guest satisfaction
- Take initiative in contributing to breakfast menu development by suggesting creative improvements and new ideas
Maintain Standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety throughout your section, the buffet, and the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and regulatory health & safety guidelines
