Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Logistics Analyst & Shipment Specialist for a company in Enkhuizen.

This role is the strategic engine behind global R&D logistics excellence. You ensure timely, compliant, and seamless movement of biological and seed materials, transforming shipping operations with data-driven insights, system optimization, and proactive risk management. Your work directly supports innovation and sustainability initiatives worldwide.
Your key responsibilities include:

Data Analysis & System Optimization (10%)
  • Analyze logistics data and generate actionable insights
  • Maintain dashboards in Power BI and Tableau to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with IT and global operations to optimize ERP, TMS, and WMS systems

Global Shipping & Operational Planning (60%)
  • Coordinate end-to-end shipment of seeds and biological materials worldwide
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs, and phytosanitary standards
  • Maintain shipment quality, traceability, and packaging standards
  • Plan and optimize inbound/outbound flows aligned with research schedules
  • Identify risks and implement preventive measures
  • Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions
  • Continuous Improvement & Leadership (15%)
  • Standardize and optimize global logistics processes
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma and digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance

Stakeholder Collaboration (15%)
  • Serve as the key liaison between R&D, Commercial, P&S, and IT
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Influence decisions with data-driven insights and operational expertise

Continuous Improvement & Leadership (15%)
  • Standardize and optimize global logistics processes
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma and digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance

Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, data analysis, or a related field (certifications such as APICS, PMP, or Six Sigma preferred)
  • Minimum three years relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably in an R&D or regulated international environment
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing end-to-end global shipment processes
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership experience
  • Advanced analytical and visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Knowledge of ERP, TMS, and WMS systems, including process optimization
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to translate operational data into actionable insights
  • High ownership, initiative, and precision; thrives in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Global mindset with intercultural sensitivity and collaborative leadership style
