Your role as a Logistics Solution Engineer

The Solution Engineer is a core contributor to NewCold's Design & Improve department, focusing on the academic and governance aspects of warehouse design and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of Design and Improve Europe, the role is responsible for developing and maintaining standard models, validated design templates, and simulation frameworks that shape how operational excellence is embedded into NewCold's infrastructure across Europe. This role is a method architect and systems thinker, producing solutions that are scalable, consistent, and aligned with long-term strategic goals.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain validated warehouse design templates, standards, and technical handbooks.
• Own and evolve performance and ROI simulation models for Stage 0-2 designs.
• Act as subject-matter expert on design governance, layout methodology, material flow, and modeling logic.
• Collaborate with operations, business development, engineering and finance to validate assumptions and integrate models into investment planning.
• Conduct reviews and benchmarking of best-in-class material flow and layout design methods.
• Facilitate design governance forums with stakeholders to ensure alignment and traceability.
• Provide training and onboarding to stakeholders in standard design tools and methodologies.
• Support the CI Manager with modeling tools that embed Lean principles into technical design practices.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

• Bachelor in Industrial Engineering / Business Administration or Master in Operations, Engineering or MBA
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience for the role
• Preferably additional specialization in Data Analytics, automation or logistics
• MTM Modeling & Activity Based Costing experience
• Data Analysis & Visualization
• Financial Acumen (link CI to ROI, CAPEX, EBITDA impact)
• Preferably certifications in: MTM - UAS or MTM - LOG, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS / Supply Chain certification (CPIM, CSCP)
• Professional English, any other European language is a plus.
