Your role as a IT Operations Manager

Within the European (EMEA) region we have a team that takes care of the day to day IT Operations. That team is split into 4 groups that have a main focus area (Networking, Modern Workplace, Server Operating Systems, Cloud). The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all IT Operations teams and ensuring effective coordination across activities. This role owns the IT Operations backlog and is accountable for setting and maintaining the right priorities based on business needs and strategic objectives. The IT Operations Manager ensures that tasks are properly planned, assigned to the appropriate teams, and executed efficiently to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

As IT Operations Manager, you will oversee all IT Operations teams and ensure seamless coordination across activities. You will own the IT Operations backlog and be accountable for setting and maintaining priorities aligned with business needs and strategic objectives. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance operational stability with continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do?

• Resource Planning: Ensure the right number of skilled personnel for operations, support, and projects.
• Shift Scheduling: Plan shifts, on-call rotations, and coverage for holidays or absences.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor and forecast server, storage, and network capacity to meet current and future demands.
• Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and arrange training or certifications.
• Project Allocation: Assign team members and technical resources to projects based on priority and availability.
• Timeline Management: Coordinate resources to meet project deadlines without impacting daily operations.
• Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs through consolidation, automation, or vendor negotiations.
• Lifecycle Management: Plan upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning of outdated systems.
• Reporting: Develop, maintain, and present analytical reports that provide insights into operational performance.
• Team Leadership: Oversee HR aspects of the team, including performance evaluations and career development.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree
• 7 - 10 years relevant experience
• Proven experience in IT Operations management within a multi-country or regional environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A strategic mindset combined with hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Fully proficient in English, any other European language is a plus.
