Are you ready to use your architecture expertise to strengthen risk management capabilities in a global financial environment? As a Risk Architect, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the architecture that supports credit, market, liquidity, and capital modelling processes. This is a key opportunity to impact how a major financial institution manages regulatory compliance and protects its customers.

You will join an experienced architecture team focused on the financial risk domain. Your role will involve designing, aligning, and maintaining end-to-end architecture solutions for credit risk and modelling, supporting strategic initiatives and regulatory compliance across multiple countries and systems.

You will act as a bridge between enterprise architecture, business strategy, data science, and IT — ensuring the architecture of complex modelling and risk platforms is scalable, consistent, and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain architecture for the financial risk domain — including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and capital modelling
Act as subject matter expert with specialization in credit risk and modelling risk
Translate business and regulatory requirements (e.g., CRR, Basel IV, IFRS9) into architectural guidance and implementation frameworks
Define and maintain business process, information, and domain architecture supporting the credit risk lifecycle
Support architecture for data pipelines, modelling tooling, and risk engines — from data sourcing to reporting
Identify reusable components, patterns, and opportunities for innovation or standardization
Lead or contribute to architecture boards, workshops, and governance reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-border teams including risk departments, modelling teams, credit operations, and IT
Ensure alignment of architecture with regulations such as BCBS 239, DORA, and EBA/ECB guidelines
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud-native platforms) and best practices in model risk management

We’re looking for a structured, communicative, and regulatory-savvy architect who combines deep risk knowledge with the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable architectural solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience in enterprise and domain architecture within risk-related domains
In-depth knowledge of financial risk management, credit risk modelling, and regulatory frameworks
Experience designing and delivering architecture for complex risk or data platforms
Familiar with model lifecycle governance (e.g., SR 11-7, model risk frameworks)
Skilled in engaging business and technical stakeholders alike
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related field
Certifications such as FRM (GARP) are considered a plus
Familiarity with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
Comfortable working in agile teams and hybrid environments Take on a strategic role that enables strong risk governance in a multinational financial setting.
