Wat ga je doen?

.

Albert Heijn Supply Chain is the largest food retail network in the Netherlands, playing a pivotal role in Albert Heijn’s vision of making better food accessible for everyone.

Join our Supply Chain Tech team as an Agile Lead, where you’ll operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with broad impact—from customer demand forecasting to distribution center operations and final delivery at our stores.

In this role, you’ll guide cross-functional teams to accelerate business value delivery, support our transformation toward a modern and sustainable tech landscape, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile maturity across our end-to-end supply chain domain.

This is how you will reinvent food retail.

  • You are a highly communicative and engaging professional who inspires and motivates others, and who can collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • You proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks, foster collaboration, and optimize the flow of work across teams. Your focus on efficiency and delivering value will help us serve our customers faster and better.
  • You continuously seek opportunities to improve the system—whether by getting hands-on yourself, creating transparency, or constructively challenging the status quo.
  • You actively support the growth and development of DevOps teams and individual team members, helping them mature in their agile ways of working.
  • You work closely with the Head of Tech, Engineering Managers, and Product colleagues to enhance the performance and cohesion of our Supply Chain Tech teams.
  • You collaborate with fellow Agile Leads to share best practices, apply collective learnings, and contribute to the broader agile community. As a skilled facilitator, you build trust among teams and stakeholders and foster a culture of open, honest, and constructive dialogue.

Your new team and office.

Supply Chain Tech is organized into two clusters: Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Execution. Together, we ensure that customers can always find the right products in their local stores—on time, every time.

As part of this domain, you’ll collaborate with 10 dedicated teams of Product Owners, Developers, and Engineering Managers on high-impact initiatives that support our ambition to become a true hybrid Food & Tech company. From optimizing planning processes to enhancing execution in our distribution network, you’ll contribute to projects that are transforming the way we operate and deliver value across the end-to-end supply chain.

We want to leverage data and technology to future-proof food shopping and give our customers accessibility to healthy food more easily available for everyone. At Albert Heijn, you team up with inspiring peers in the data, digital and tech domains. A community of diverse individuals who share a common goal; to create digital solutions that make (online) shopping simpler and more inspiring. Are you ready to reinvent the way millions of people buy and enjoy their food? We invest heavily in data, digital and tech. And that includes investing in your career! Our teams work in a hybrid way: both from home as well as in the office. We are located right next to the train station of Zaandam.

We think it’s important to be part of a high-belonging team; a team where you can be yourself and feel safe, accepted and appreciated. For this job we are preferably looking for someone who brings diversity in our team, in the widest possible sense. Someone who is a great addition to our team by bringing other ideas to the table. Don’t check all the boxes? Don’t worry, we probably don’t either 😉. Don’t hesitate to apply if you think you are up for the challenge, we’re happy to have a look at your resume!

The recipe for maximum impact.
We’re looking for someone who brings a strong blend of agile expertise, leadership, and collaboration to the table. Ideally, you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach/Lead, working closely with cross-functional DevOps teams
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and hands-on experience with multiple agile frameworks
  • Proven track record of guiding teams in advancing their DevOps maturity and improving end-to-end delivery
  • A natural team player who thrives on collaboration and takes initiative to drive outcomes
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch is a plus

Bonus points for:

  • Experience or familiarity with Supply Chain processes and challenges
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with Obeya as a lean/agile management practice
  • Prior hands-on technical experience or background

What we offer.
At Albert Heijn we aim to grow, and this is only possible if you grow along with us. As we work together to build our brand and your career, you can count on (based on 40 hours per week):

  • An annual salary up to 100k including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. Depending on your level of seniority and experience;
  • A minimum of 20 days paid vacation, optionally 12.5 days extra. Do you want to take that extra time off, or would you rather convert the extra days into discounts or sell them for cash? You’re the end boss!
  • Flexible working hours;
  • Access to a challenging training curriculum – AH Tech Academy;
  • An excellent pension plan where we as an employer contribute 6 times more than you as an employee;
  • A travel allowance or a NS-traject card for traveling to and from Zaandam by train;
  • Attractive discounts on various insurance policies;
  • 10% staff discount on groceries in all Albert Heijn stores, to a maximum of €300 per year;
  • A company laptop and telephone.
