Our client is a dynamic Dutch trading company headquartered in Amsterdam's Zuidas, with offices in Shanghai, Detroit, Singapore, Australia, and Mexico City. They are specialized in the global trade of starches, starch derivatives, and plant-based proteins for the food and feed industries. Their enthusiastic team in Amsterdam consists of around 70 colleagues. They export to more than 100 countries worldwide.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and booking incoming invoices and handling payments for both Dutch and Australian offices.
- Managing the accounts payable inbox and responding to inquiries.
- Supporting colleagues with questions regarding outstanding invoices.
- Handling foreign exchange forward contracts, including all related administrative tasks via the bank's online platform and ERP system.
- Optionally assisting with VAT returns, if there is interest.
You will be part of a team of three colleagues in the Accounts Payable department.
Job Requirements
- A completed MBO-level education in administration or finance.
- At few years of relevant work experience, preferably within an international trading company.
- Ideally, experience with international VAT returns.
- A service-oriented and proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of English, Dutch is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).

- A salary between €3200 and €3800 based on 40 hours a week
